Working with Elements

Elements are any objects you want to place on or within your design. It includes vegetation, lighting, furniture, decorations and vehicles. Elements also include Landscaping templates, which include hardscape and a selection of vegetation.

Add an element

You can add an element to any kind of surface.

  1. Select an element to add.
  2. Click anywhere to place the element within the design.
  3. When you're done, click outside the design area (e.g., toolbar or sidebar).

Move an element

You can move elements already added to the design.

  1. Click the element.
  2. Position and orientation tool appears. Click and drag the red circle.
  3. Move the element to a new position and let go.
  4. When you're done, click anywhere within the design.

Move an element vertically

You can adjust the depth of an element.

  1. Click the element.
  2. Position and orientation tool appears. Click and drag the green arrow.
  3. Move the element vertically and let go at the desired position.
  4. When you're done, click anywhere within the design.

Rotate an element

  1. Click the element.
  2. Position and orientation tool appears. Click and drag the end of the blue line along the blue circle.
  3. Adjust the angle as desired.
  4. When you're done, click anywhere within the design.

Rotate multiple elements

  1. Click the elements. There are two ways to click multiple elements.
    1. Click one element, then hold the Ctrl key and select the rest of the elements.
    2. Hold the Shift key, then click and drag the left mouse to select the elements.
  2. From the toolbar, click the Rotate: button.
    1. Single: each element rotates individually.
    2. Group: elements rotate as a group.
  3. When you're done, click anywhere within the design.

Align elements

  1. Click one element.
  2. Press the Ctrl key and click the rest of the elements.
  3. From the toolbar, click the Tidy Up button.
  4. When you're done, click anywhere within the design.

Remove an element

There will be no warning messages.

  1. Click the element.
  2. From the toolbar, click Delete.
